After 39 years in the shipping business with Cargill as a Shipbroker, Trader and Team Manager I found new opportunities within the business. I have experience in tankers, but most of my career was in dry cargo, specialising in the sugar trade especially the transport of bagged sugar. I attended many training courses on management and the development of employees and mentoring is a particular interest of mine. Part of my management role was to interview, train and develop the team and I believe I have a good reputation in the market, reflecting my success in this field. As a result, I have been lecturing for Clarksons and have delivered dry cargo lectures for the Cambridge Academy and METL for the ICS exams in dry cargo. Most of my work since leaving Cargill has been as a quantum Expert in dry cargo disputes. I completed a dissertation on Ethics in Shipping and have undertaken some consultancy work.
In my spare time I enjoy Sport, Travel, Music, Theatre, Gardening and spending time with friends and family.
